Clay is a poor material and since ancient times man has exploited the properties for everyday items. Once hydrated becomes malleable and can be easily worked by hand. Purchasing forms dictated by the inspiration of the artist, who once spent several stages of cooking, remain compact and waterproof.

The art of pottery dates back to 10,000 years ago, but with the invention of the lathe from 3000 BC which was used to obtain symmetrical objects and elegant, it spread to the west.
For the Mesopotamians in the second millennium a.c. has the merit for the introduction of coating glass which increased the resistance over time.
In the fourth and fifth centuries a.c. Greece dominated the market with its productions. In the fourth century a.c. this monopoly declined, with the construction of factories in Etruria, Magna Greece and Sicily, whose experiences of realization came to this day.
In this site Flashes Art is the production of this ancient compendium endorsed by the artist Maria Palumbo, with his works handmade in deference to the tradition Italian ceramist.
The passion that puts in his works true that you can define visual poems is contained in this his thought: "Art does not make young but immortal. The works that we create today, in the future will witness our immortality. In fact we will continue to live through them. (M.Palumbo)

Inside the store, a vast gallery of unique, handmade by the artist, and a clear description of the various processing stages: idea, sketch, raw material preparation, decoration and baking later, the various applications of paint ; the finest pieces arrive four cooking in the oven.
